Free tools offer incomplete or less comprehensive databases, lack security, and often don’t support the implicit workflow behind patent searching. Other commercial tools are cumbersome to use, focus broadly on inventions spanning multiple industries life automotive, software, and production (increasing the noise returned with your searches), and aren’t tightly integrated with GenomeQuest.
